There’s a lot of good news on the topic of flooring.
According to a new study, the problem is getting worse, not better.
A new report from a company called Epoxy Floor Paint claims that the quality of floor tiles and flooring made from cheap, imported materials is so bad that “it has the potential to damage your home and its occupants.”
The company said that some of the most common reasons for floor problems include water leaks, rust and other issues that are the result of poor quality materials.
The problem is compounded by the fact that the materials aren’t necessarily the cheapest options out there.
According the report, in 2016, the cost of making a floor was $2.75 per square foot, and that’s only for a single-tile system.
A single-wall, double-walled flooring system costs $4.25 per square feet.
That’s just one of the reasons why it’s so important to have good flooring for your home, the report said.
“When you look at the data, you’ll see that when you compare materials and costs, it is the worst possible,” Mark Hahn, CEO of Epoxy said in a statement.
“It’s the most expensive, and it is one of only two materials that are not considered to be environmentally friendly, the other being steel.
The only other materials that make up the majority of the price are PVC and polyurethane.”
But not all floors have such bad quality.
Some of the best quality floors are made from polyuretha, which is a material made from a blend of bamboo, sand and plastic, and is supposed to be more sustainable.
It’s considered one of more environmentally friendly materials than traditional flooring materials, and in 2016 the US government announced that it was moving toward using the material as a flooring material.
It is a good thing for the environment, because if you use polyurethan, you don’t have to worry about it getting in the waterways, Hahn said.
The report from Epoxy goes on to say that one of those materials, polyurethal, is actually considered to have a better environmental impact than traditional materials because it’s made from renewable sources.
So when it comes to choosing the best flooring products, it’s not necessarily all about cost, but about how much you care about the environment and your neighbors.
